Surfclub
Surfclub is the party-rock passion project of Nashville-based Spencer Combs (Secret Nation) and collaborators Chris Henderson (Bronze Radio Return, Layup) and Grammy-nominated producer Chad Copelin, who has worked with Sufjan Stevens, Third Eye Blind, Hanson, and more.
Surfclub exists for the sole purpose of spreading positive vibes. The band’s latest work is a wildly eclectic collection of energetic, uplifting anthems written and recorded over a single whirlwind week of pure creative chemistry. The music is playful. It’s carefree and undeniably catchy, complete with lyrics meant to inspire and empower. It’s the product of musicians aligned in their goal of crafting joyful songs that connect with listeners on an almost spiritual level.
Ultimately, Surfclub is the sound of getting away from it all. Of pursuing freedom with all you’ve got, and keeping faith that, as long as you’re willing to chase those moments that make you feel most alive, everything is going to be okay.

SONG STORY: “All My Friends” was written to be a reminiscent experience of a more carefree time. It celebrates simpler time when we cared more about who was around us than what we were doing. It’s a reunion of memories. A union of old friends and new. It’s a celebration of the brighter days ahead. We wanted it to be an anthem to encourage people that we need each other. After going through such a hard time of separation in the the past couple of years, we wanted to express the power of community and coming together in person.

SONG STORY: “Together As We Go” is a get away vibe. It’s the theme song of picking up your friends to get away to nowhere. We wanted to write something about some of the most memorable moments in many people’s lives, simply driving nowhere with our favorite people. It didn’t matter where we had been or where we were going. It was all about being together wherever we go.
‘GET UP & GO’

SONG STORY: “Get Up & Go” pulls you up out of whatever funk you may be in. It encourages you to pick yourself up and keep moving forward. It’s a wake up call to snap out of the mundane and to go after what you really want. We all need that person who picks us up when we’re down. We wanted this song to be that encouragement when you need it.
‘JUST RUN’

SONG STORY: “Just Run" is a heated reminder to chase hard after what you want. The song is determined, headstrong and persistent. It's a never-back-down melody. It's a song of passion and the pursuit of what we desire most. If you lack motivation in an area, pop on this track and prepare to be propelled forward.
